Match your dog's accessories to your wardrobe

Match your dog's accessories to your wardrobe

You choose your coat, your bag and your shoes with care. So why should your dog's lead be an afterthought? The most stylish walks start with a simple idea: dress your dog in colours that belong to your wardrobe, not just to the pet shop.

Start with what you wear most

Open your wardrobe and look at the pieces you reach for every day: your winter coat, your favourite trench, your go-to jeans. That is your colour palette. Pick your dog's accessories from the same family and every walk looks effortlessly put together.

Every Laelaps piece is made from two tones of leather, a main colour and an accent colour. That gives you two ways to match: to the outside of your coat, or to the colour of its lining.

Three little styling tricks

  • Echo your jewellery. Wear gold? Choose a colour with matte gold hardware. Prefer rose gold or silver? Go for matte rose gold or matte palladium.
  • Tone on tone always works. A camel coat with camel accessories looks calm and expensive, especially in autumn.
  • Let one piece pop. In a neutral outfit, an orange lead or a powder pink collar becomes the accent that makes people smile.

The trench coat test

Still unsure? Try the classic beige trench. It goes with camel, taupe, off-white, powder pink and orange, which is why so many of our customers start there. Then add a second colour for weekends, rainy days or a little more fun.

Find your colour in our collars, shop the full look by colour, such as camel or powder pink, or make it complete with a set.
