Laelaps was born from a search for luxury leather accessories that simply did not exist. Today every piece is handcrafted in Portugal and inspired by Parisian elegance, made for you and your dog.
Never settle for less
Like many dog owners, I searched endlessly for accessories that matched what I had in mind, and never found them. That search is how Laelaps began.
So I created a collection for dogs and owners who expect more. Leather, stainless steel hardware with a PVD coating, and edges finished by hand with gum arabic.

Named after a legend
In Greek mythology, Laelaps was a magical dog destined to always catch its prey. A gift from Zeus, he was finally passed down to the hero Kephalos.
Kephalos sent him after the Teumessian Fox, a beast destined never to be caught. Faced with this dilemma, Zeus turned them both to stone and cast them into the night sky, as Canis Major and Canis Minor.
