2 Shipping terms and conditions

2.1 Shipping

After placing an order, it takes 1-2 business days to process the order. Once your order is packed and registered with the shipper, you will receive an email with the track & trace number. You can follow your order online via the track & trace number. It is possible that the email with your track & trace number has ended up in your spam folder.

  • Delivery within the Netherlands: 2-3 business days 
  • Delivery within Europe: 3-5 business days 
  • Delivery outside Europe: 6-8 business days 

The above delivery times are an estimate and the number of days after your order has left our warehouse. Laelaps Paris is not responsible for any delay of the order you have placed with us.

2.2 Import Duties, Customs Obligations, and Additional Costs

Laelaps Paris is not responsible for any additional costs such as import duties, customs obligations, and/or other extra costs that may be charged by the destination country. Extra costs for importing the order are the responsibility of the customer. We have no control over these costs and therefore cannot predict how high they are. The import procedures vary by country. For more information, please contact the local authority(ies). Please note that the customs procedure can cause delays. These delays are not included in the expected delivery time.

2.3 Damaged Package

In the event that your order is delivered in a damaged package and the products you ordered are damaged, we ask you to send an email with a photo of your package within 7 days. After receiving your order, we will inspect the products and assess whether the damage was caused by the delivery process.Laelaps Paris will cover the costs of returning the package.

3 Payment Terms for Customers

3.1 Prices

The prices in the webshop include 21% VAT, excluding shipping costs. Laelaps Paris reserves the right to adjust the prices at any time without prior notice to its customers.

3.2 Payments

At Laelaps Paris, we accept the following payment methods: iDeal, Paypal, Mastercard, Visa, Apple Pay. Once the payment has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email from us.

4 Cancellations and Returns

4.1 Cancelling an Order

You can cancel your order within 14 days, after receiving it. You must send an email to: info@laelaps-paris.com to return your order, stating that you wish to return the order. You will receive all the information from us on how to return your order.

4.2 Refund

We will refund the full purchase amount (reduced by any postage costs, import duties, customs obligations, and/or other additional costs) provided that: the products are unused and undamaged the products are returned in the original undamaged packaging. If the return does not meet the above requirements, we reserve the right to deduct the costs of repairing the products and/or replacing the packaging material from the purchase amount.

4.3 Return Shipping

We do not reimburse return shipping costs.

4.4 Processing Return Shipment

We can only process the return shipment if the correct documents are sent back with it. We kindly ask you to include the packing slip that is provided upon delivery with your return shipment. Returns without a packing slip cannot be processed.

4.5 Received Return Shipment

Laelaps Paris is only responsible for the return shipment once it has been received by us. We are not responsible for the loss of a return shipment. We advise you to use a "Track & Trace" when shipping and to keep the shipping receipt.

4.6 Refund

The refund will be paid back in the currency you used. Due to currency fluctuations, it may happen that you receive more or less than the amount you paid. We aim to process the refund within 14 days after we have received the return package.

4.7 Sale

Products purchased on sale or with a discount code are not eligible for a refund. The products can be exchanged for a different size in the same color, provided it is in stock.

5 Warranty & Warranty Period

Our products come with a 6-month warranty period, covering manufacturing defects made by our craftsmen. Damage and/or stretched leather caused by daily use, misuse of the product, and/or lack of maintenance of the leather are not covered by the warranty. Any discoloration and/or damage to the hardware and/or leather are also excluded from the warranty.

We can only offer warranty (free repair) for products purchased through our webshop or authorized sales points. Before we process a warranty claim, we would like to receive a photo of the defect and a copy of the purchase invoice. These can be sent to: info@laelaps-paris.com, without the aforementioned documents we cannot process warranty claims.

6 Liability

Laelaps Paris is not liable for the use of its products. The products are produced as accessories and should be used accordingly. The use of the product and the safety of the dog (or other pet) and the handler is entirely at the discretion and responsibility of the purchaser and/or user. Laelaps Paris is not liable for personal loss or damage caused by the use of the products produced and sold by Laelaps Paris. It is not allowed to resell the products of Laelaps Paris for profit. We are also not liable for loss of income caused by late receipt of our products and/or warranty handling.
