Good leather does something other materials don't. It softens, it shapes itself and it develops character. A Laelaps Paris collar looks beautiful on day one and even better after a year of daily walks.

Each collar is made by hand in our atelier in Portugal. The edges are finished with gum Arabic, the hardware is stainless steel with a PVD coating that won't tarnish, and the stitching is water-repellent. Every detail has a reason.

Available in XS, S, M and L, our collars fit dogs of all sizes, from the smallest toy breeds to the largest retrievers.

What size collar does my dog need? Plus

Measure the circumference of your dog's neck and add two fingers width for comfort. XS fits necks up to 25 cm, S fits 25 to 35 cm, M fits 35 to 45 cm and L fits 45 to 55 cm. If your dog falls between two sizes, we recommend sizing up. Not sure? Feel free to contact us and we will help you find the right fit.
How many colours are available? Plus

Our leather dog collars are available in twelve colours, from bold and vibrant to soft and understated. Each colour is made from the same premium calf leather with the same level of craftsmanship. You can also match your collar with a leash, harness or accessories in the same colour for a complete look.
Can I combine a collar with other Laelaps accessories? Plus

Yes. Every collar can be matched with a leash, harness, waste bag holder, treat bag and AirTag holder in the same colour. We also offer collar sets that include a matching leash, making it easy to complete the look in one order.
How long does a leather dog collar last? Plus

A well-maintained leather collar can last five years or more. Our collars are made from premium calf leather with water-repellent stitching and a stainless steel hardware with PVD coating. With minimal care, drying after wet walks and occasional cleaning with a damp cloth, your collar will develop a beautiful patina and stay strong for years.
Is a leather collar safe for my dog? Plus

Yes. Calf leather is soft, breathable and gentle on skin. The edges of every Laelaps collar are finished with gum Arabic, which means no rough edges that could cause irritation. Make sure the collar fits correctly: two fingers should fit comfortably between the collar and your dog's neck.
