A Laelaps Paris black collar is made from premium embossed calf leather with a surface texture that catches light beautifully and resists superficial scratches over time. The matte gold hardware is stainless steel with a PVD coating, meaning it will not tarnish or dull after months of daily use.

Each collar is made by hand in our atelier in Portugal. The edges are burnished with gum Arabic for a smooth, finished look. The stitching is water-repellent. Every detail is intentional.

Is a leather collar safe and comfortable for my dog? Plus

Yes, leather is one of the gentlest materials for a dog's neck. Unlike nylon, which can cause friction and irritation, genuine calf leather softens and moulds naturally to your dog's neck over time. Our collars are finished with gum Arabic on every edge to eliminate any rough areas that could rub. As with any collar, correct sizing is key. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog's neck.

Yes, our black leather dog collar is available in four sizes: XS, S, M and L.

To find your perfect fit, measure the circumference of your dog's neck and add approximately two fingers' width for comfort.

XS fits necks up to 25 cm, ideal for small breeds like Chihuahuas or toy breeds. S fits necks between 25 and 35 cm, suited for breeds like Dachshunds, French Bulldogs or Beagles. M fits necks between 35 and 45 cm, perfect for Cocker Spaniels, Border Collies or Labradors. L fits necks between 45 and 55 cm, ideal for larger breeds like Golden Retrievers, Weimaraners or Dobermanns.
